Mutual Self-Help Construction Carpenter
NeighborWorks Great Falls is hiring a Mutual Self-Help (MSH) Construction Carpenter who will work under the general supervision of the MSH Construction Supervisor and perform journey-level carpenter work in the construction of MSH housing with the participants and volunteers. The employee will help develop project plans, scope of work, and timelines; set the grade and stake out new construction projects in accordance with site plans; complete all aspects of basic construction to include foundations, framing, roofing, exterior, interior finish, and grading; coordinate with construction supervisor to assure code requirements are met; apply specific carpentry skills and labor to enhance the project and the performance of participants and volunteers; coordinate timelines for contractors and delivery of materials by suppliers; provide necessary supervision and instruction to families and volunteers to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety on the work site; monitor work done by outside contractors for quality, completeness and adherence to code requirements; ensure construction equipment and tools are properly maintained, secured, and stored; assist with job-related paperwork, including timesheets, on a daily basis; and complete final inspections and punch lists as directed for all construction projects. For more information, click here.
