NeighborWorks Great Falls is thrilled to announce that Montana Federal Credit Union has donated $10,000 to benefit the NeighborWorks’ endowment campaign. This generous contribution will serve NeighborWorks’ education and counseling programs to provide financial counseling, homeownership planning and down payment options for hopeful homebuyers for years to come.
“Montana Federal has been a longtime supporter of NeighborWorks, dating back to 1985” stated Steve King, President/CEO of Montana Federal Credit Union. “With this gift to NeighborWorks Great Falls’ endowment campaign, we can continue that legacy of support to ensure the future success of the work NeighborWorks does for families and our community at large.” The long-term value of NeighborWorks impact has been well-documented and extends far beyond housing. Hardworking families that are able to achieve affordable housing have better health outcomes, are more stable and engaged and their children do better in school.
“Montana Federal’s pace-setting donations for the last 30 plus years show they understand the importance of homeownership and neighborhood revitalization in a community. Their continued support is an investment in making Great Falls a better community for all”, stated Sherrie Arey, NeighborWorks Great Falls Executive Director.
The goal of the NeighborWorks Endowment is $2.5 million. Gifts will allow NeighborWorks Great Falls to provide mortgages, education and planning to create successful homeowners for years to come, despite rapidly shrinking federal funds.
