Originally known as MApril Cleanup, NeighborWorks CommUNITY Cleanup is an opportunity to collect and dispose of debris around the community. Teams of volunteers are placed at both private and public sites to clean the community as well as assist neighbors in need of outdoor yard work assistance. We ask that all neighbors in Great Falls get involved by cleaning up your own yards and outdoor spaces as well. Before throwing your cleaning debris away, check if they are recyclable - a number of businesses and organizations accept materials to be recycled in Great Falls. For a list, click here.

2021 Cleanup  |  May 5-8

This year’s CommUNITY Cleanup will be May 5 – 8, 2021.  Included in the event are several educational components regarding recycling and “going green” in our community. Cleaning up our community is more than just picking trash off the street; it is creating less waste and handling our rubbish responsibly.

Just as we did last September, teams will be helping clean up both private and public spaces around Great Falls on May 7 & 8.  There are several ways you can get involved:

  1. Nominate an elderly neighbor or friend with other needs who could use assistance with outdoor cleanup to register their home as a potential cleanup site. (Remember to ask their permission before nominating them!)

  2. Create or join a Clean Team to help us make the cleanup of our parks, trails, businesses, schools and other spaces a success!

  3. Look around your own outdoor space and the community and start cleaning out that winter debris.
